Freestanding ER Clinical Pharmacist

Freestanding ER Clinical Pharmacist (Full‑Time, 4 days per week) Location: Portland, TN. The position is a Full State Emergency Department (FSED) clinical pharmacist in a freestanding emergency care setting. Responsibilities Utilize problem‑solving abilities to resolve medication issues, consulting with other knowledgeable parties as needed. Maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and governmental regulations and dispense accordingly. Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints. Determine and consult on potential drug interactions. Assist with quality‑improvement initiatives, inventory management, and ordering of pharmaceuticals. Monitor, record, and communicate data using computerized documentation systems. Apply age‑specific patient needs in performance of duties and responsibilities. Serve as the pharmacist in charge, responsible for compliance and pharmacy operations at the FSED. Expected schedule: full‑time, 4 days per week, 8‑hour day shifts. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Licensure in the State of Tennessee; board certification preferred. One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred; residency preferred.
