Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and 3+ years of telemetry experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every-other-weekend and additional weekend coverage as needed
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• May float to other units within scope of practice, including other campuses (Summit or Herrick)
• Floating notice typically provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start, with shuttle service available for cross-campus floats
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI or MAB
• 3+ years of RN Telemetry experience required
• 6 months of travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and phlebotomy
• Experience managing respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care
• Experience managing non-titrated cardiac and vasoactive drips

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and nursing care for cardiac, neurological, and general medical-surgical patients
• Support patients with conditions such as CVA, intracranial bleeds, seizure disorders, renal failure, and post-cardiac procedures
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius unless accepted as a local candidate at the local rate
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travelers
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Re-orientation required only if previously oriented at this facility and separated for 6+ months
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
