Direct Support Professional (Evening Shift) -Devon House Group Home

Position Overview Pay starts at $20.50/hour, with additional compensation for higher education and/or relevant experience up to $23.87/hour. Location: Fitchburg, MA. Schedule Full‑time: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3pm–11pm; Saturday 7am–11pm (double shift). Part‑time: Sunday 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm (16 hours). Sign‑on Bonus $1,000 sign‑on bonus. Additional $250 bonus if MAP certified. About the Program Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health serves students with complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Devon House program serves co‑ed individuals aged 14 to 21 with ASD and IDD, most of whom are non‑verbal, with a 1:2 staff‑to‑student ratio. The program goal is to teach, coach, and support individuals to learn daily living skills, coping skills, and social skills while staying active and having fun. Responsibilities Be passionate about working with and helping youth. Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision. Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment. Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same. Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills. Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports. High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred. Must be able to attend a 2‑week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA. Must be MAP certification, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
