divh2Mammography Technologist/h2pThe Mammography Technologist operates radiologic equipment and performs mammography procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. The mammography tech is responsible for detecting breast tissue abnormalities by completing mammographic imaging studies; presenting them for diagnosis./ppEssential Functions:/pulliPerform/produce quality radiography and mammography exams in a safe and proper manner with all patients/liliTakes general x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety/liliScans all necessary documents into the appropriate database for interpretation from the radiologist/liliApplies principals of radiation to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others/li/ulpOther Job Related Functions:/pulliPractices aseptic/sterile techniques to prevent cross contamination. Clean the exam room and equipment after use and/or every patient/liliOperates imaging equipment and other related radiology equipment such as computers, copier, scanners, fax machine, and printer/liliMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures/liliAssist with registering patients, scheduling appointments, and importing and exporting CDs and reports/liliAssist coworkers with their duties/liliOther duties as assigned by Radiology Director and Chief Information Officer/li/ulpJob Requirements and Qualifications:/pulliMust have received a Certificate of completion from an allied health education and accreditation (AMA) accredited radiology program which meets requirements of the American Registry of Radiological Technologist/liliMust be a certified mammography technologist with 40 hours of training, completed 15 CMEs in the past 3 years, and have performed 200 mammograms in the previous 24 months/li/ululli1+ year of experience performing screening and diagnostic mammograms/lili1+ year of experience in radiology setting/liliMust have excellent oral/written communication skills/li/ululliMust have reliable transportation/li/ulpAdditional Information:/pulliClinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m./lili11 paid holidays per year./liliFull benefits package./liliPublic Service Loan Forgiveness./li/ulpWe believe that health care is right and not a privilege.
