Detailed Job Description As a Wire Data Engineer at Sapsol in Fort Worth, TX, you will take full ownership of designing, routing, documenting, and certifying electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) for advanced military aircraft and aerospace platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass designing aircraft wire harness platforms using Mentor Graphics / Capital Harness Systems (CHS), generating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interconnect lists, and ensuring compliance with military aerospace airworthiness and certification standards. You will collaborate with mechanical and structural packaging teams to resolve spatial constraints, support manufacturing and assembly floor queries, and prepare complete wire data packages for qualification. Working in a secure defense environment requiring US Citizenship or Green Card status, you will ensure uncompromised electrical interconnect integrity. Key Responsibilities Design comprehensive aircraft wiring architectures and electrical interconnect systems (EWIS) for military aerospace platforms. Develop detailed wire harness designs, schematic diagrams, and interconnect lists using Mentor Graphics / Capital Harness Systems (CHS). Generate electrical schematics, wire routing definitions, and harness manufacturing drawings. Collaborate closely with mechanical designers, packaging engineers, and structural squads to resolve spatial and clearance constraints. Ensure strict adherence to military aerospace design standards, wire separation rules, and airworthiness certification requirements. Support manufacturing assembly floors, harness prototyping, and shop-floor engineering change requests (ECRs). Prepare complete wire data packages, harness qualification reports, and interface control documents (ICDs). Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR) and technical interchange meetings with defense program stakeholders and clients. Maintain strict configuration management control over wiring diagrams, database libraries, and engineering change orders. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and grounding/shielding best practices across electrical harness designs. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of professional experience designing aircraft wiring architecture and wire harness platforms. Strong hands-on proficiency in Mentor Graphics / Capital Harness Systems (CHS) or equivalent advanced EWIS design tools. Proven experience generating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnect lists, and manufacturing drawings. Solid understanding of military aerospace design standards, wire installation practices, and EWIS certification requirements. Strong spatial visualization, analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. Mandatory US Citizenship or Green Card (GC) status with security clearance eligibility (C2C or 1099 engagement). Professional availability for onsite employment in Fort Worth, TX (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM shift). Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with 3D harness routing and packaging integration using CATIA V5 or Siemens NX. Familiarity with military specifications for electrical connectors, wire types, backshells, and shielding (MIL-DTL-38999, SAE AS50881). Prior working experience in major defense primes (Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Sikorsky) designing rotary or fixed-wing aircraft wiring.
