The Imaging Technologist Aide supports radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging exams, emphasizing patient support, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards. Job Summary Assists technologist in performing examinations within the scope of the Imaging Department. The role includes patient communication, maintaining supplies, following work rules and regulatory requirements, and completing related duties as requested. Responsibilities Provide advanced direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a radiology technologist. Assist in planning and implementing direct patient care, including documentation in the patient medical record. Coordinate scheduling of diagnostic testing and maintain proper stock of supplies. Answer departmental telephones and resolve common problems. Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while complying with Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards. Support professional growth by completing mandatory continuing education and acting as preceptor, mentor, or resource to less experienced staff. Promote compassionate, personalized experiences consistent with company standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or GED (preferred). Certification in Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR with AED within 30 days of hire. One year of experience in a healthcare setting or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows and electronic mail.
