Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure Track, Oral and Maxillofacial SurgeonThe College of Dentistry at the Ohio State University seeks applications for a full-time oral and maxillofacial surgeon in a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training program and contribute to the mission of the larger Division and College via pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and service.Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and diversity among members of various educational, research, and service-related communities. Sponsorship is available for international candidates that meet the required qualifications.Performance ObjectivesTeach at the pre-doctoral and resident trainee levels in both didactic and clinical settings.Engage in research within the college and across other health science units at the Ohio State University and demonstrate high-quality scholarly work, including presentations at professional meetings and publications of basic or clinical research. The tenure-track faculty member will have a much greater emphasis placed on the pursuit of research and extramural funding in accordance with promotion requirements.Serve in university and college governance.Practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and participate in maxillofacial trauma and odontogenic infection call for all affiliated hospitals.Education and Experience RequirementsDDS, DMD, or international equivalent degreeTraining certificate from a CODA accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training programEligibility for a regular (unlimited) dental license by the Ohio State Dental BoardBoard-eligibility or board-certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial SurgeonsHow to ApplyPlease submit your application electronically via Workday.
