Graphic Designer Our client, a commercial banking company, is looking for a Graphic Designer for their Chicago, IL/Hybrid location. Responsibilities include creating visually engaging, brand-aligned content across print and digital platforms. This role balances creativity with technical execution, delivering high quality designs that support marketing, communications, and business objectives. The Graphic Designer works independently on assigned projects, collaborates with senior creatives and production teams, and contributes to the development of visual consistent standards. Key responsibilities include delivering creative builds and adaptations for marketing campaigns, print, and digital materials (e.g., brochures, posters, ads, social media, DTV, ATM). The Graphic Designer translates creative briefs into effective, visually appealing design solutions while providing input and ideas in brainstorming sessions and creative reviews. Supporting the Head of Design in creative development, ensuring all work aligns with the client's visual identity, tone, and voice. Ensuring all design outputs meet accessibility standards (ADA), making client communications inclusive for all audiences. Managing the production and adaptation of assets, including animation, illustration, and iconography, with attention to detail and brand consistency. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, design technologies, and accessibility requirements. Delivering final files in required formats and ensuring proper storage in the client Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Collaborating with internal partners (copywriters, project managers, and cross-functional teams) to support new initiatives and evergreen programs. Supporting junior team members or creative operations with feedback and technical guidance when needed. Requirements include storytelling and visual communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives. Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning, staying ahead of design and technology trends. A proactive approach to brand stewardship and willingness to contribute to the evolution of the client's brand identity. A data-driven and results-oriented mindset, using analytics to measure and improve design impact. Strong teamwork, relationship-building, and service orientation. Detail-oriented, analytical, and systematic thinking. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, minimum 3-5 years' graphic design experience, fundamental design knowledge and artistic creativity, design technical proficiency: expertise in industry-standard Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Brand Application: the ability to take existing brand guidelines (logos, color rules, and fonts) and apply them consistently across various marketing materials. Digital & Print Production: knowing how to properly prepare files for their destination, including understanding color spaces (RGB vs. CMYK), bleed requirements, and resolution.
