Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
• Own software development from requirements capture, design, and project scoping through testing and integration.
• Write structured C++ software for bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux-based embedded processors.
• Build highly reliable and available software systems.
• Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation.
• Provide flight operational support for spacecraft software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
• At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
• Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
• Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
• Preferred: experience with safety-critical software, especially aerospace applications.
• Preferred: experience with Python or Rust and strong knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
