Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical

Nursing Position

Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.

Position Specifics:

Department: Medical/Surgical. 2-3 RNs on each shift; 1:4-6 ratio. Swing bed program rehab + hospice. Manager highly promotes teamwork and positivity. Family oriented and pride themselves on patient satisfaction. RNs exposed to a variety of different medical issues CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia and COVID, down to post-op care of total knee/hip replacements. Unit admits swing bed patients that are admitted for short therapy or IV antibiotics until we can get them back home. Also admit GIP patients that are inpatient hospice patients. No hospitalist on-site 24/7 so RNs truly learn to utilize that critical thinking to care for patients. Our RNs are always available for each other talk through things together and if there's ever a question or concern there is always someone available to discuss it with. There is also opportunity to cross-train to help in other departments if interested truly work together.

Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift (3x12 7:00pm-7:30am) with every 3rd weekend rotation

Sign On Bonus: $10,000

Compensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for night, weekend, and call on top of base rate!

Education Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Pay Range: $30.00 - $46.30

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
