Job Category: Support (100) Requisition Number: COOKH005291 Posted: March 31, 2026 Full-Time On-site Hourly Range: $18.50 to $20.35 USD Rate: $18.50 USD per hour Locations 73 Henearly Drive Miller Place, NY 11764, USA What You'll Do Heavy cleaning of entire house and windows, daily or weekly as required. Including, but not limited to: Bathrooms: sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, walls, and floors. Kitchens: floors, countertops, walls, all appliances (refrigerator, stove, toaster, microwave), tables & chairs, pantries, cabinets. All common areas: living room, dining room, recreation/TV room, medicine room, hallways, stairways, bedrooms, office, inside areas, deck/porch. Meal preparation, cooking, shopping, and meal planning, in coordination with menus prepared by Nutritionist. Ensure rotation of perishable foods and discard expired foods. Follow all menus and substitute items according to exchange list. Reports any maintenance needs or hazardous conditions to Manager or Maintenance person. Notify supervisor immediately if house or appliances need repair. Help schedule and plan parties for special occasions. Answer telephone in a courteous and professional manner and take appropriate messages. Be familiar with and follow OMRDD regulations regarding food, kitchen area, and cleanliness of house. Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. What You Bring to DDI Ability to read, understand, and follow safety guidelines. Ability to use and dispose of household cleaning products safely. Ability to work well with staff and individuals we support. Ability to cook following menus and meal preparation guidelines. Ability to use appropriate tools in general housecleaning. Must be able to use housecleaning equipment (vacuum cleaner, carpet shampoo machine). Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs., bend, twist, kneel, and walk distances necessary to shop for supplies and perform housekeeping duties.
