Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal role supporting essential laboratory operations in a dynamic healthcare setting. This position seeks skilled professionals with backgrounds as either Medical Technologists (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a contract role. The ideal candidate thrives under a cyclical schedule, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.

Schedule/Hours:

• Seven 10-hour shifts per cycle
• Monday and Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Cyclical pattern: Work Sat/Sun/Mon, off Tues/Wed, work Thurs/Fri, off Sat/Sun/Mon, work Tues/Wed, off Thurs/Fri, repeat
• 70 hours over two weeks (30 hours one week, 40 hours the next)

Qualifications:

• Certification or Licensure: ASCP or AMT
• Accepts both MT (Medical Technologist) and MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) backgrounds
• Prefer hospital generalist experience, including use of Roche Chemistry, Sysmex Hematology analyzers, and performing manual Gram stains
• Demonstrated ability to follow complex workflows and adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a full range of generalist laboratory testing and analysis with precision and accuracy
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, specifically Roche Chemistry and Sysmex Hematology systems
• Perform manual Gram stains and interpret results
• Collaborate with clinical staff and technologists to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Adhere to laboratory protocol, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain thorough records and participate in ongoing process improvements

$1,463 - $1,542/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
