Johnson Service Group (JSG) has an immediate opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to join an established Electrical Contractor in San Diego. Contract to Hire | Onsite | $29 - $32/Hr. based on skills, education, experience, and other relevant qualifications. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Compliance Specialist to support accounting, payroll, and compliance functions. Responsibilities: Process customer billing, AR follow-up, AP invoices, payment runs, ACH payments, and bank deposits Enter and reconcile transactions in Sage 300 Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports Coordinate background checks, employee badging, and compliance documentation Manage and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) Provide backup support for payroll, 401(k), health, and pension reporting Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related administrative role Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience Experience with certified payroll and compliance reporting Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and handle confidential information Strong written and verbal communication skills Sage 300 experience preferred
