Parts Support Specialist

• Utilize available resources to effectively meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience.
• Establish Vermeer Heartland as a trusted partner by conveying a professional and knowledgeable presence to both customers and internal team members.
• Utilize the inventory management system to maintain parts inventory, including shipping and receiving parts purchase orders.
• Monitor and process email and online orders, as well as inter-company parts transfers.
• Organize parts inventory by arranged bin location system and maintain the showroom area in accordance with the Vermeer Heartland brand standards.
• Lead the parts shipping and receiving operations, including managing customer account information.
• Provide backup coverage for Parts Specialists at the counter and on the phone.
• Support Technicians in the Service department with parts needs, including looking up parts, pulling and delivering them to the workstation, entering them on the proper segment of the work order and notifying staff when parts arrive.
• Support the Lifecycle Support Specialist with inside parts needs, including looking up parts, pulling and shipping part, pulling truck replenishment orders, entering parts on invoices and notifying them when parts arrive.
• Commit to continuous learning through online and instructor-led training programs.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, adhering to all policies and procedures.

• High-level of computer proficiency with ability to utilize CDK operating system.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand role on a consistent basis.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to turn negative situations into positive experiences and opportunities.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems, components and parts, along with familiarization and use of associated technical terms.
• Excellent people management and communication skills for both internal co-workers and external customers and suppliers.
• Available on short notice to work overtime as customer demand or Vermeer Heartland operations dictate.

• 2+ years of technical education and/or related studies, or equivalent of combined experience.
• 1+ year of experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Parts Counter or equivalent in a dealership environment is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience with Vermeer industrial equipment or equivalent commercial, agricultural or material handling equipment is preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish language (oral and written) is a benefit, not a requirement.
• Valid driver's license and able to meet Heartland insurance providers qualifications.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift and lower repeatedly and for extended periods in both internal and external environments.
