Mechanical Designer

Mechanical DesignerAllTek Staffing is partnering with a local tank manufacturer to help them fill an empty Mechanical Designer role they have open. Heavy industrial design experience is a plus. This is an on-site role because of the hands-on approach of the company. This is a direct hire role. Benefits and vacation time included. Primarily produce 3D models and subsequent fabrication drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD Inventor. This position requires a strong understanding of AutoCAD background files. Produce some 2D drawings using AutoCAD and working with AutoCAD Vault. Prepare equipment general arrangements, piping arrangements, piping diagrams and shop detail drawings as needed. Strong background with using MS Office products. Strong communication skills dealing with manufacturing and office personnel. Develop detailed mechanical drawings and BOM using Inventor. Be self-motivated to perform given assignments in a timely and competent manner. Associate's degree in mechanical drafting/design is preferred or have technical experience/comparable knowledge with mechanical drafting. Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical, manufacturing design and drafting experience. Self-motivated individual who has the initiative and the assertiveness to stay on task and schedule. Effectively manage multiple projects at the same time.
