Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced, team-focused pharmacy environment. In this role, you will support pharmacists in delivering accurate and efficient medication services while ensuring a positive experience for patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately

+ Input prescription information and maintain patient records in pharmacy systems

+ Process prescription orders, refills, and prior authorizations

+ Perform medication packaging and labeling, including compounding (if applicable)

+ Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and tracking medications

+ Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and HIPAA standards

+ Provide customer service by assisting patients, answering questions, and resolving issues

+ Support fulfillment processes in a high-volume environment

Skills & Competencies

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows

+ Data entry and computer system proficiency

+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

+ Customer service and patient interaction skills

+ Understanding of basic medical and pharmaceutical terminology

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required

+ Active Pharmacy Technician license in Oklahoma (required)

+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred

+ Previous experience in retail, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy preferred

+ Experience with compounding or fulfillment processes is a plus

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Fast-paced pharmacy setting (retail, hospital, or central fill depending on site)

+ High-volume workload with frequent multitasking

+ Team-oriented environment supporting pharmacists and clinical staff

+ Standing for extended periods and handling medications

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
