Our client, one of the largest insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the United States, is expanding its presence with a brand-new office in the heart of West Hartford. They are seeking an Associate Benefits Consultant to join their growing Employee Benefits team.

What You'll Do

• Support a team of consultants managing employee benefits programs for a diverse client base.
• Assist with client communications, documentation, and data management.
• Analyze benefits and financial data to support client recommendations.
• Prepare reports, presentations, proposals, and renewal materials.
• Conduct market research and benefits benchmarking.
• Coordinate meetings, create meeting minutes, and track action items.
• Work directly with insurance carriers, vendors, and clients to address service-related issues.
• Assist with claims questions, billing discrepancies, eligibility concerns, and benefits administration matters.
• Review and update employee communication materials and carrier documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams including compliance, communications, and other specialty practice areas.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Finance, Economics, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Internship, customer service, administrative, business, or analytical experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.44/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
