We are immediately hiring licensed Armed Security Officers for multiple positions across various locations and service areas. We offer complete scheduling flexibility, including full-time, part-time, and  flex roles where you set your own availability to pick up shifts—even on short or last-minute notice.

Important Attendance Notice: Please note that if you have a history of poor attendance or tardiness, this is not the position for you. Due to strict contract compliance and client operational demands, these roles are not forgiving when it comes to attendance and punctuality. We require 100% reliability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, vigilant, and professional Licensed Armed Security Officer to join our security team. In this role, you will be assigned to a dedicated protective detail requiring continuous observation, controlled access, and a consistent security presence. The officer will maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment by monitoring assigned individuals and surrounding areas, identifying potential safety or security concerns, and responding appropriately to changing conditions. Strong firearm safety, communication, de-escalation, report-writing, and emergency-response skills are essential. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards.
• Manage access control systems to authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors while denying unauthorized access.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by implementing appropriate security protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other significant events with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform background checks on potential employees or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor premises continuously and identify potential threats.
• Handle physical security measures including heavy lifting, manual handling, and firearm handling with professionalism and adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
• Administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive; operate AED devices when necessary.
• Conduct routine inspections of security systems, fire safety equipment, and emergency response procedures to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

• Maintain continuous observation and a consistent protective presence at the assigned post; remain alert to safety concerns, unauthorized movement, prohibited items, and potential security risks.
• Work closely with an assigned security partner throughout the shift, maintaining clear communication, coordinating breaks and relief, and ensuring the post is never left unattended.
• Maintain control of access to the assigned area by verifying authorization, monitoring entry and exit activity, and promptly addressing unauthorized access attempts.
• Remain at the designated assignment unless properly relieved, directed by a supervisor, or responding to an emergency.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, or security concerns in accordance with post orders and company procedures.
• Use sound judgment, officer presence, and de-escalation techniques to manage tense situations calmly and professionally.
• Communicate and coordinate with supervisors, client representatives, law enforcement, emergency responders, and other authorized personnel as required.
• Prepare complete, accurate, and timely daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain all issued equipment in a ready and professional condition, including firearm and communication equipment, while following all applicable safety procedures.
• Perform duties with discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintain constant situational awareness and avoid distractions that could interfere with the assignment.
• Personal cell phone use is prohibited while on duty or at the assigned post, except for an emergency or when specifically authorized by a supervisor for work-related purposes.
• Valid Armed Security Officer license and all required firearms qualifications or certifications.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a two-officer security team and maintain clear, professional communication with a partner.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to maintain focus during extended periods of standing, sitting, or continuous observation.
• Ability to remain at an assigned post for the duration of the shift, except when properly relieved or directed otherwise.
• Experience in armed security, law enforcement, military, corrections, protective services, or another high-responsibility security environment preferred.
• Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, factual, and timely incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Proven ability to use de-escalation, conflict-management, and sound decision-making skills in stressful or sensitive situations.
• Knowledge of emergency-response procedures; first aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.
• Professional appearance, mature demeanor, discretion, and the ability to interact respectfully with client personnel, visitors, and emergency responders.
• Ability to comply with all company post orders, firearm policies, attendance standards, confidentiality requirements, and restrictions on personal cell phone use while on duty.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, and remain attentive for extended periods; ability to respond quickly during an emergency when necessary.
