Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Waimea, Hawaii We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Waimea, Hawaii. A valid state Physical Therapy license is required. Candidates should hold a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy; experience is preferred, but newly graduated therapists are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patient comfort. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued progress in community or home settings. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Hawaii. Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Strong clinical skills and critical thinking. Excellent communication skills in English. Physical ability to remain stationary, move, lift 50–100 pounds, push, pull, and bend. Fine motor skills for manipulation of equipment and assistance with procedures. Ability to cope with frequent public interaction, meet deadlines under pressure, and work both independently and under occasional supervision. Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
