As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site. Monitor access points and verify credentials and/or authorizations for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and promptly communicate security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
