Spindle Service & Balancing Technician

Where: Schaumburg, IL 60173 | Type: Direct Hire

Pay Range: $65,000 – $90,000/year | Hours: 1st Shift, Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm

You’ll own the journey from diagnosis to final test—bringing precision, patience, and pride to every step. As the organization scales, 2–3 additional technicians are expected to join, opening pathways for advancement.

• Disassemble, evaluate, and rebuild high-speed CNC spindles with exacting standards
• Restore geometry using a manual lathe and grinder
• Measure what matters—micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, and dynamic balancing gear are your everyday tools
• Root-cause failures and implement corrective actions to meet specification
• Decode blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to guide your work
• Document every step and collaborate with engineering and customer service for seamless communication
• Respond to occasional short-notice field service needs, including overnight and weekend travel

• 2+ years in CNC spindle repair, industrial maintenance, or precision mechanical roles
• Fluency with precision metrology and dynamic balancing
• Hands-on manual lathe and grinding capability
• Ability to interpret prints, manuals, and diagrams
• Willing and able to travel on short notice, including nights/weekends
• Meticulous documentation and strong computer skills
• Self-starter mindset with exceptional attention to detail and quality

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering
• Experience running CNC machines and basic G-code programming
• History of coordination with engineering and customer service teams

Hands-on spindle repair or precision mechanical experience is required. Candidates with purely theoretical or software-only backgrounds will not be considered.
