C.A.R.E. DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Home Instead of Thunder Basin

POSITION SUMMARY

The C.A.R.E. Development Manager is responsible for helping grow and strengthen Home Instead of Thunder Basin by developing relationships with prospective clients, current clients, families, and community referral partners.

This is a relationship-centered role that combines home care knowledge, client consultation, ongoing client support, and business development. The C.A.R.E. Development Manager helps families understand their care options, identifies appropriate solutions, supports a successful transition into services, and maintains relationships that contribute to long-term client satisfaction and growth.

This position works closely with the Director and operations team to ensure that what we promise to clients and families can be successfully delivered by our Care Pros.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

CLIENT CONSULTATION & DEVELOPMENT

• Respond to prospective client and family inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Conduct in-home and virtual care consultations.

• Assess client needs, family concerns, home environment, and desired outcomes.

• Recommend appropriate Home Instead services and levels of support.

• Explain services, rates, expectations, and the care process clearly and confidently.

• Help families navigate difficult or emotional care decisions using a consultative, non-pressure approach.

• Follow up consistently with prospective clients and families throughout the decision-making process.

• Maintain accurate lead, consultation, and follow-up information in company systems.

CLIENT C.A.R.E.

• Participate in new-client onboarding and starts of care.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families.

• Conduct client follow-ups, quality visits, reassessments, and care-plan updates as appropriate.

• Identify changes in client needs and recommend adjustments to services.

• Work with the operations team to address concerns before they become service disruptions or result in lost clients.

• Help ensure expectations established during the consultation process are communicated effectively to the team delivering care.

GROWTH & COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS

• Develop relationships with healthcare providers, senior living communities, hospitals, rehabilitation providers, hospice and home health organizations, physicians, veterans’ resources, and other community referral partners.

• Educate community partners about Home Instead services and appropriate referral opportunities.

• Identify new opportunities to serve seniors and families throughout the Thunder Basin territory.

• Maintain consistent and meaningful follow-up with priority referral partners.

• Represent Home Instead professionally at community meetings, networking opportunities, and events.

• Contribute directly to sustainable growth in clients and hours of care.

TEAM & OFFICE LEADERSHIP

• Work closely with the Thunder Basin Director and shared operational teams to coordinate new clients and changing care needs.

• Communicate anticipated starts of care and service needs so staffing feasibility can be considered before commitments are made.

• Participate in regular leadership and performance meetings.

• Assist with complex client or family situations when additional support is needed.

• Demonstrate ownership, sound judgment, and a willingness to assist outside normal responsibilities when needed to support clients, Care Pros, and the team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous home care, home health, hospice, senior living, healthcare, or related senior-care experience is strongly preferred.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred but not required.

• Experience conducting assessments, consultations, admissions, intake, case management, client relations, or similar work is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships with clients, families, and professional referral partners.

• Comfortable discussing services and asking prospective clients to move forward when Home Instead is an appropriate solution.

• Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to balance compassion with accountability and business needs.

• Comfortable working independently in the community while remaining closely connected to the office team.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond calmly to changing client and operational needs.

BENEFITS

• Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

• Participation in a performance-based bonus structure.

• Paid time off (PTO).

• Retirement plan.

• Individual dental coverage.

• Individual vision coverage.

• $25,000 in life insurance coverage.

• Short-term disability coverage with a three-month benefit period.

• $50 monthly employer contribution toward additional Aflac coverage options, including Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness, or Hospital coverage.

Benefit eligibility and plan details will be discussed during the interview process.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

The C.A.R.E. Development Manager helps Home Instead of Thunder Basin consistently earn new clients, grow hours of care, retain existing clients, strengthen referral relationships, and deliver an excellent experience from the first conversation through ongoing service.

Most importantly, this person understands that growth and great care are not separate responsibilities. Sustainable growth happens when we understand what families need, make the right promises, deliver on those promises, and build relationships people trust.
