Opportunity:


RN - Oncology Nurse


Job Details:


• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract
• Work every other weekend and holiday
• Float to other areas as needed to care for patients within scope, can float in 4-hour blocks
• Float before staff RNs when floating is required
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours during the contract
• May be low censused in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• May be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of shift when low census occurs
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and Chemo certification
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience required
• 1 year on Med/Surg Oncology unit preferred
• Oncology experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred; must have previous electronic charting experience if no Epic background
• Work with Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Care for Med/Surg oncology patients including surgical oncology and medical oncology patients
• Small population of patients receiving chemotherapy treatments
• Patient ratio ranges from 4:1 or 5:1, night shift normally 5:1 but can reach 7:1
• Night shift always has technicians available
• CNAs scheduled all shifts but may staff more RNs when CNA not available
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• During flu season, unvaccinated staff required to wear masks at all times per facility policy
