As a Reference Data Specialist within the Foreign Exchange Operations team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the settlement lifecycle by authenticating and maintaining Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs), maintaining precise client reference data, and resolving exceptions quickly. You will partner across Operations and internal stakeholders to prevent payment errors and reduce financial and reputational risk through strong controls, sound judgment, and proactive escalation. You will have hands-on exposure to market products across foreign exchange, fixed income, and derivatives while operating within global funds transfer policies and regulatory requirements. You will work in a detail-driven, client-focused, and fast-paced environment. You will have a direct impact on operational excellence and client outcomes. Job responsibilities Authenticate settlement instructionsby completing external callback verification to ensure accuracy and control Create, update, review, and approve Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs)in line with established procedures and governance Maintain high-quality client reference data, ensuring records are complete, current, and consistent across systems Proactively identify, investigate, and elevate potential payment risks or errors, helping protect clients and the firm from financial and reputational impact Deliver responsive, solutions-oriented supportto internal partners and clients while adhering to global funds transfer policies and applicable regulatory requirements Monitor workflows and controls with strong risk awareness, resolving breaks and exceptions quickly and efficiently Collaborate with Operations teamsto research inquiries, resolve escalations, and drive timely outcomes Apply knowledge of financial markets and the securities industryto support accurate settlements and issue resolution Demonstrate ownership and accountabilityfor tasks, follow-through, and end-to-end outcomes Use strong judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsto manage moderately complex scenarios and recommend actionable solutions Uphold high standards of integrity and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and ethical conduct in settlement and payment processing Required qualifications, capabilities and skills A high-level sense of ownership and responsibility Excellent Client focus and Customer care working practices Accountable for team delivery of excellent customer serviceIn-depth understanding of financial markets and Foreign Exchange business Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization Flexibility to adjust to business needs Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and effective prioritization skills Ability to prioritize and work well under tight deadlines High-level analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Understanding of Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT MT) message standards for Message Type (MT103) and Message Type (MT202) Preferred experience supporting CIB Operations Function/Line of Business #J-18808-Ljbffr JPMorgan Chase & Co.
