Patient Service Representative

MaineHealth is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our dedicated IV Therapy team in Scarborough. This front-facing role is critical in supporting patientsmany living with cancer or chronic illnessesas they navigate their treatment journeys. As a PSS, youll be the first point of contact for patients and families, delivering compassionate customer service while ensuring accurate scheduling, registration, and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and empathy
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with attention to clinical needs and continuity of care
• Verify insurance and collect co-pays or other payments
• Respond to patient inquiries, troubleshoot scheduling challenges, and advocate for patient needs
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate closely with nurses, providers, and administrative team members

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience: Previous office experience with medical office experience preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.

The pay range for this position is $19.87 to $23.75 per hour.
