Job Description

We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to join our team, responsible for the operation of a sit-down propane forklift to efficiently move stock for outgoing shipments. This role involves loading and unloading trucks at the loading dock and in the yard, picking orders with scanners, and allocating products within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move stock for outgoing shipments.

• Load and unload trucks at the loading dock and in the yard.

• Pick orders for outgoing shipments using scanners.

• Allocate products within the warehouse.

• Operate chain saws or skill saws to cut products to size.

• Use tape measures daily.

• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Perform general cleanup of the area after the shift.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation experience.

• Inventory and material handling.

• Order picking.

• General labor proficiency.

• RF scanner usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of forklift experience.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move/slide products up to 100 lbs.

Work Environment

This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with potential shifts extending to 6 or 7 pm depending on customer orders. Candidates must be flexible to stay until all orders are completed. The work environment is primarily within a warehouse, with occasional outdoor work required for loading and unloading trucks. Overtime opportunities are available after the shift and on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
