Details Work in the CTICU (cardiothoracic intensive care unit) of a Level 1 trauma hospital Unit provides 24-hour monitoring and advanced care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries or severe cardiac/respiratory conditions 12-hour rotating shifts covering both days and nights 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment Uses EPIC EMR system No float or charge nurse responsibilities required Requirements Active MA RN license required in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in CT/CVICU setting Level 1 trauma center experience required EPIC EMR experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Must provide flu vaccination documentation during flu season Additional Information Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill cardiothoracic surgical and cardiac/respiratory patients Any color scrubs permitted Weekly orientation provided COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted Previous employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning First-time travelers are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID P-750573.
