Forklift Operator And Material Handler

We are seeking a reliable Operations Technician to support production, warehouse, and logistics activities within a manufacturing and distribution environment. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including material handling, inventory support, production operations, product processing, quality checks, and shipping preparation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, adapting to changing priorities throughout the year, and contributing across multiple departments as operational needs evolve.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
• Support production and processing operations while maintaining quality standards.
• Package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
• Perform shipping, receiving, unloading, and order picking activities.
• Maintain inventory records and complete transactions in company systems.
• Stage raw materials and finished goods for storage and distribution.
• Conduct routine equipment, container, and work area inspections.
• Assist with housekeeping, organization, and facility upkeep.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Required Skills:

• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Shipping & receiving, warehouse, and material handling experience.
• Proficient with RF scanners and inventory management systems.
• Experience with picking, packing, unloading, and order fulfillment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, production, or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and quality standards.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

• Rotating shifts every 4 weeks between day and overnight schedules.
• 8-hour and 10-hour shifts based on business needs.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Cape Girardeau, MO.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.78 - $22.17/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
