Consultant# ConsultantFully Remote • Memphis, TN 38137## Description**Job Summary**At SRM, the Consultant role functions as the primary project contributor and leads aspects of client engagements with a team of 3 – 5 colleagues. In this role, Consultants will assist leading financial services companies develop their business strategies, identify and implement opportunities to improve business operations and vendor relationships, adapt to changing market conditions, and research emerging macro trends impacting the industry. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating, and testing hypotheses, developing and communicating recommendations, and managing client interactions. Considerable time will be spent performing market research, creating financial analyses, developing client deliverables, and presenting to clients. Consultants will need to be capable of supporting concurrent client engagements, balancing multiple workstreams with varying project scopes and timelines.**Essential Functions*** Contribute to the end-to-end delivery and execution of vendor sourcing and strategy engagements, particularly those involving digital and payments systems and products for financial services clients.* Develop and manage project plans, coordinate team workflows, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality client deliverables.* Support client strategy development, transformation initiatives, and go-to-market strategies that capitalize on your deep knowledge of banking technologies and systems.* Provide financial and non-financial analyses related to banking technology, benchmarking product performance, and evaluating operational efficiency within the financial services space.* Conduct thorough partnership assessments, focusing on potential collaborations with fintech and payment processors that could advance our clients’ strategic positioning.* Offer mentorship and oversight to analysts, ensuring the quality of work meets the high standards expected in strategic consulting engagements.* Communicate consistently with internal leadership, offering clear and informative status reports on client projects and internal initiatives.* Manage and oversee a team of analysts assigned to each client engagement* Contribute to the firm’s reputation as a thought leader in payments by producing insightful articles and driving other knowledge dissemination initiatives.* Provide comprehensive support to leadership in business development efforts, including proposal writing, client prospecting, and Statement of Work creation.**Required Skills/Abilities*** Strong understanding of and experience with payment platforms, products (such as credit, debit, ACH, wires, and instant payments) and regulations, providing a solid foundation for strategic advice and operational improvements.* Superior analytical skills, coupled with the ability to distill complex payment system information into strategic insights for business development and operational efficiency.* Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for articulating intricate payment concepts in a comprehensible manner to a variety of stakeholders, including those at the executive level.* Proven time management excellence, with a record of accomplishment managing and delivering multiple projects with competing deadlines.* Demonstrated leadership prowess, capable of steering teams toward successful outcomes and fostering professional growth among junior staff.* Aptitude for prioritizing effectively, with the foresight to delegate appropriately and ensure the team functions efficiently under high-pressure conditions.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on creating high-quality presentations and complex financial models relevant to payment strategies.**Education and Experience*** Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)* 4 - 6 years’ experience in financial services, banking, and or payments* Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.**Work Environment*** Positive, supportive work culture with a focus on company Core Values* Remote position is available**Travel Requirements/Physical Demands*** Travel as needed for client engagements (typically up to 25%)* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer #J-18808-Ljbffr
