Position Type:

Contract
On-Site

Required:

Advanced knowledge of residential wood and CMU design and construction.
PE License (Florida preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of engineering experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative problem-solving and strong work ethic.
Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred:

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to follow established procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Design structural components of residential wood and masonry structures.
Produce and seal structural plans, details, and repair letters.
Collaborate with architectural staff and various departments.
Conduct engineering calculations and prepare repair details/letters.
Coordinate structural plans with truss layouts.
Perform site visits and meet with building officials.
Conduct code research.
