Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician troubleshoots and repairs electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment calibrations, while reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. The position focuses on supporting industrial automation systems and equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment to minimize downtime and maintain reliable operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, routine inspections, and equipment calibrations to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment life.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals to diagnose issues and execute repairs accurately.
• Troubleshoot industrial automation systems, including HMIs, AC/DC drives, sensors, temperature controllers, and other instrumentation devices.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades, ensuring proper electrical connections and system integration.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and adheres to food safety requirements and facility procedures.
• Perform both electrical and electro-mechanical maintenance activities as needed in an industrial setting.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments to maintain accurate equipment records.

Essential Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and industrial automation equipment.
• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance and repair in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in electrical maintenance, including working with AC/DC drives, sensors, and temperature controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with industrial automation systems, including HMIs and instrumentation devices.
• Electro-mechanical maintenance skills, including working on both electrical and mechanical components.
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks safely and in compliance with NEC standards and food safety requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) installation.
• Servo motor and motion control experience.
• Experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Comfort working with industrial, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular maintenance activities.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing setting that includes cleanroom areas where wearing a hair net and beard net is required. The environment involves working around production equipment and automation systems while adhering to food safety and cleanliness standards. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on maintenance tasks throughout the facility. You will need to provide your own tools and work on-site during a first shift schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a structured and safety-focused workplace.

This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $78272.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis,IN.
