About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, No Weekends | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
• Collaborate with surgical teams to support CVOR procedures throughout the shift
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
• Complete assigned facility compliance modules by required deadlines (non-billable, 8 hours each)
• Float at or below skillset level as needed based on unit and facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• BLS certification required (must be American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent experience in CVOR specialty
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for the last 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working within a large health system or multi-campus environment
• Familiarity with float requirements across ICU, SDU, or Telemetry units
• Supervisory-level professional reference available upon submission
