Position Information Position Title Associate Director of Campus Engagement Job Type Full Time - 12 months Department Campus Engagement Position Summary Doane University, a liberal arts university in Crete, Nebraska, is hiring an Associate Director of Campus Engagement. The position serves as a member of the Campus Engagement team to provide leadership, strategic vision, and planning for a comprehensive portfolio of programs and services that drive co-curricular involvement for all Doane University students, with a focus on student organizations, fraternities and sororities. The Associate Director supports the mission of the institution and the Division of Student Affairs; fosters the development of student organizations, Doane’s Greek system, their individual members and advisors; contributes to student leadership development and connection to the larger Doane community; promotes an active co-curricular experience for both residential (Crete campus) and nonresidential students (Lincoln campus and Omaha location), and; must possess a broad and deep understanding of national best practices, assessment findings and data-informed approaches to strengthen programs, services and organizational effectiveness. The Associate Director collaborates with multiple campus and community partners on all campuses to achieve these outcomes. FLSA Salary $52,000 - $56,000 Minimum Required Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a closely related field, plus at least one (1) year of full-time professional experience in Student Affairs or within a college/university setting that includes advising student organizations, including fraternities and sororities, and developing training programs, policies, and procedures to support student organization success. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate: Commitment to and support of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking, listening, and writing, including the ability to write comprehensive reports. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse population of constituents, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The ability to use assessment, data, and evidence-informed practices to evaluate programs, identify trends, inform decisions, and support continuous improvement. Strong project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks at once. Technology-savvy, including community engagement platforms, leveraging branding and social media marketing strategies relevant to student engagement in the digital marketplace. They are a self-starter who is change-oriented. The ability to work effectively with high-energy college students. Preferred Qualifications A master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a closely related field and more than 3 years of full-time professional experience in Student Affairs, higher education, fraternity and sorority life, or a closely related field are preferred. Preferred experience includes: Experience with local fraternity and sorority chapters. Experience creating and implementing programs and services to support nonresidential student populations. Also preferred: Working knowledge of student organization, fraternity and sorority life risk management practices, including health and safety, hazing prevention, organizational accountability, and crisis response. Membership and involvement in related professional associations ( NACA , AFA , NASPA ) Required Licenses/Certifications Valid driver’s license Physical/Environmental/Working Conditions Working Conditions Primarily 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Some evening and weekend work required, particularly during major campus events (Orientation, Welcome Weekend, Homecoming).
