Heartis Village Senior Living, now part of Discovery Senior Living is seeking a compassionate, caring server to join our growing team. As a Server , you’ll play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming dining experience for our residents and guests. Position Highlights Status: FULL TIME or PART TIME Schedule: 7am - 3pm / 11am - 7pm including every other weekend Location: 8201 N. IL Route 91, Peoria, IL 61615 Rate of Pay: Based on experience What You’ll Do Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience. Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections. Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas. Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists. Support orientation and training of new servers as needed. Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality. Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred. Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service. Ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents, guests, and team members. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Demonstrates good judgment, time management, and communication skills. Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift trays, dishes, and supplies (up to 25–50 lbs.). Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and food service equipment. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends/holidays. Comfort interacting closely with residents during meals.
