Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months experience required. License: Must have an in-state license in hand prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips. Experience with Post Heart Catheterization and Post Pacemaker procedures. Solid neuro experience. Experience in a mixed acuity unit Ability to manage patients with both medical-surgical and progressive levels of care. Description: This position focuses on providing care in a mixed acuity environment. The unit cares for medical-surgical patients as well as patients requiring progressive care. Staff will encounter a variety of patient diagnoses, including oncology and stroke care. Patient ratios are dependent on the acuity level, with medical-surgical patients typically at a ratio of 1:5-6 and progressive care unit patients at 1:3-4. Nurses will administer various infusions, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin drips. The role involves critical patient management, including unstable stroke cases requiring BiPap support. This position supports a dynamic interdisciplinary team, including therapy and social services. Candidates must be prepared to float as needed within the relevant departments. Employee attendance during two out of three major holidays is expected.
