Administrative Coordinator - Institutional Safety - Mount Sinai Hospital - Full-Time

Workplace violence (WPV) impacts all industries including healthcare. The administrative coordinator is responsible for conducting a range of tasks related to the MSHS Workplace Violence Initiative with an initial primary focus on the collection and preparation of WPV data from various sources. This individual will report to the program director.

1. Collects, prepares, and enters data from various sources for inclusion in the Safety Stratus WPV dashboard

2. Assists in the preparation and review of WPV data for publication, presentation, and dissemination

3. Creates and distributes regular reports from Safety Net to leaders

4. Communicates relevant data with local WPV committees and other stakeholders.

5. Collaborates on maintaining materials for the WPV Library.

6. Answers routine and specific inquiries when possible.  Directs inquiries, when necessary, to the appropriate department or individual for further information and/or resolution. 

7. Assists with meeting compliance requirements.

8. Researches best practices with regard to WPV in healthcare issues.

9. Coordinates  administrative, secretarial and/or general office support coverage.

10. Performs other related duties.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of applicable experience and education. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

1-3 years related administrative or internship experience required.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66482.07 - $74250 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
