Demonstrates and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patients/individuals status and interpret relative to his age-specific needs, and to provide the care/service needed.Assists practitioner and RN with basic administrative, clerical and technical supportive services and procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist or his designee.Cross-trains for front office functions and fills in as needed.Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies.Maintains confidentiality of staff, patient and administrative information in the Clinic, hospital and community setting.Maintains lab and treatment rooms in an orderly manner.Must be a National Certified Medical Assistant and must maintain certificate and complete all required CEUs.Observes all clinic protocols and procedures as written.Performs waived lab tests and lab internal QCs. Prepares samples for shipment to hospital lab.Prepares patient for provider exam and collects all baseline information and records in the patient chart.Takes patient vital signs, height and weight measurements. Records results in patient chart.Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned.
