A Dishwasher/Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness all hotels' dishes, flatware, glassware, and cookware.
Duties:
- Properly operate dishwashing machines. Ensure the appropriate temperature is correct for proper sanitation.
- Wash all dishes, pots and pans and other items used in the restaurants, kitchen, and banquet department.
- Breakdown all boxes, empty trash containers into the dumpster and clean containers.
- Clean kitchen walls, floor mats, and mop floors daily.
- Ensure that the floor is kept dry and free of debris after each session or shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous dishwashing/stewarding experience in a heavy volume restaurant preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able work in a fast-paced environment.
