Ratios are 1:5. First-timers accepted with manager screening. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. No call requirement. Floating within the hospital is required. Candidates will not float to sister hospitals. Block scheduling is not accommodated. Locals are accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted. RTO restrictions are a maximum of 1 week. This unit manages patients with medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery needs. Daily census averages around 80 patients. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility is a Magnet, Teaching Center with 281 total staffed beds. Charting is completed using an electronic system. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. This position requires skills in various areas, including telemetry, wound care, IV management, and non-invasive airway management. Candidates must have the ability to manage cardiac drips and perform various nursing procedures.
