Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our surgical center in Arlington, Texas, where you will be immersed in a fast-paced yet rewarding environment. Our facility is designed to optimize patient safety and comfort while promoting productive workflows among our staff. As a full-time position, you will work Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct patient care through thorough assessments, examinations, and diagnosis formulation, all while establishing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

• Collaborate with supervising physicians and surgical teams to facilitate patient management in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative settings.

• Assist in the operating room by performing minor procedures and serving as the first assist during surgeries, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.

• Conduct daily rounding on patients, write orders, and facilitate hospital admissions and discharges to enhance overall patient flow and care efficiency.

• Provide comprehensive education and counseling to patients and their families regarding pre-and post-operative care, recovery expectations, and follow-up plans, ensuring clear communication and understanding.

• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting patient encounters in compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with a diverse patient population of all ages who require surgical interventions. You will utilize your clinical skills to assess and manage a variety of cases, ensuring each patient receives personalized and compassionate care throughout their surgical journey.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

• Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).

• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas.

• DEA license for controlled substance prescribing.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of advanced practice experience in surgery or hospital medicine.

• Experience as a first assist in a surgical setting, specifically with laparoscopic and robotic procedures, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
