Position Title: Shop Helper

Wage: $15.00-$16.50 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am-5:00pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Shop Helper position available at a company in Cypress, TX. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. This is an entry-level position focused on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while assisting with inventory management, material movement, and general shop duties. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, has a strong sense of urgency, and is willing to learn.

Shop Helper Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and warehouse.
- Sweep, mop, and perform general housekeeping duties to ensure a safe work environment.
- Move parts, materials, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Assist with inventory counts and inventory organization.
- Pull, sort, and stage materials as directed.
- Load, unload, and transport materials using appropriate equipment.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming materials.
- Support production and operations teams with general labor tasks as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
- Forklift operation.

Shop Helper Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shop, manufacturing, or labor experience is a plus but not required.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to work in a shop or warehouse environment.
- Forklift operating experience preferred.
- Must be willing and able to learn forklift operation if not already experienced.
- Strong sense of urgency and willingness to work.
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality.
- Dependable and safety-conscious.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Desire to learn and grow within the organization.
