Job DescriptionJob Title: Principal Controls Specialist – Modeling and SimulationWorking Pattern: Full-timeWorking location: Indianapolis, IN or West Lafayette, IN (Hybrid schedule/ 3 days onsite)As a Principal Controls Specialist – Modeling and Simulation, you will be part of a multidiscipline team responsible for the development, testing and continuous integration of the hardware and software test environment used in the development and qualification of electronic engine control software and hardware-in-the-loop investigations.You will ensure that all delivered test and simulation products meet program requirements. You will coordinate with engine control project teams, external customers, and hardware and software vendors supporting simulation test assets. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.Basic Requirements:Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of software simulation experience -OR-Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in software simulation engineering (development or testing) -OR-JD/PhDMust be a US Citizen. Ability to obtain/maintain US DOD Secret Clearance.Preferred Requirements:Modelling, Simulation, and Control System experienceStrong understanding of software configuration management and software architectureKnowledge of electronics (sensors, actuators, and processors)Strong software development skills in C/C++, Python, CMake, Bash, Simulink, Continuous Integration/Automation (e.g. Jenkins), UNIX shellHardware (electronics/circuits) troubleshooting experienceExperience with MIL-STD-3022.Knowledge in software design patterns and software testing frameworkFamiliarity with Embedded Systems Architecture and DesignUnderstanding of UNIX, Windows OS, and build environmentsCertified Modeling & Simulation Professional certification.What we offerWe offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
