Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist assignment for a 13-week contract working 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This role includes significant call responsibilities, with approximately 15 call shifts per month and 2 full weekends of call. The CVOR Tech will assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe operating environment. This position requires strong technical skills, teamwork, and the ability to function effectively in high-acuity surgical settings.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Surgical Tech experience
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program OR 5 consecutive years of surgical tech experience
• CVOR experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification preferred
• LPN with at least 1 year surgical tech experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Ability to work in a high-pressure operating room environment
• Two supervisory references required at submission
• Skills checklist (within 1 year) required

Client Details Setting Hospital City Akron State OH Unit Details Procedures The CVOR Tech will assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and anticipating surgical needs. Responsibilities include setting up the operating room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready, and maintaining strict adherence to aseptic technique. The technologist will monitor the sterile environment, support patient safety, and collaborate with the surgical team throughout procedures. Additional duties include assisting with room turnover, managing surgical instruments, and participating in call coverage, including weekends, to support emergency and scheduled procedures.
