Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Labor & Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and current NRP/fetal monitoring competency.

Details

• Work in a Level 2 OB and Level 2 nursery LDRP unit with 8 labor beds, 12 postpartum rooms, and 4 special care nursery beds
• Care for patients across L&D, triage, and postpartum, with triage conducted from labor beds
• Circulate for cesarean sections performed in the unit's OB OR
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• NRP certification required (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• NRP Advanced certification may be required
• Fetal monitoring competency required, either through Ascension's exam or AWHONN/Relias program completed within the past 2 years
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive LDRP nursing care including labor and delivery, triage, postpartum recovery, and cesarean section circulation
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Covid vaccination is not required
• Candidates should begin discussing extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
