Position Overview

Seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional hospice care to patients and families throughout Northwest Arkansas. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, performing clinical assessments, coordinating services with the interdisciplinary team, and supporting patients and caregivers through all stages of hospice care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while providing comfort, dignity, and quality care to patients in their homes and residential settings.

Schedule & Work Details

• Location: Northwest Arkansas
• Coverage Areas: Sebastian, Logan, Crawford, Franklin, Scott, and Yell Counties
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Weekly Hour Guarantee: 32 Hours
• Pay Rate: $51-$53/hour
• On-Call Requirement: Backup on-call rotation
• Mileage Reimbursement: Yes, reimbursed between patient visits (first patient to last patient)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations of physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop, implement, and revise patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to physicians, caregivers, and team members as appropriate.
• Administer medications, treatments, and symptom management interventions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding disease progression, comfort measures, medications, and end-of-life care.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families throughout the hospice journey.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, aides, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in backup on-call rotation responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or a qualifying compact state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned coverage area.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and families facing serious illness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospice experience.
• Home health experience.
• Strong patient and family education skills.
• Experience working independently in community-based healthcare settings.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
