Are You the Go-To Person for Precision Fabrication?

You’ll be a key contributor in our sheet metal area, partnering closely with Senior Mechanics and flexing across fabrication cells as production needs change—all while reflecting BAC’s values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.

- Can you support press brake operations—setups, basic programming, simple part runs, and preventive maintenance?
- Are you confident operating the shear, completing PMs, and preparing material kits that keep work moving?
- Will you jump in to change dies and CNC tooling to speed changeovers?
- Can you manage the drop-off rack to minimize scrap and support flow?
- Will you help keep equipment in prime operating condition?
- Are you driven to meet daily targets set by your Team or Station Leader?
- Do you restock consumables before they run low?

- Will you handle additional duties from your supervisor with a positive, can-do approach?
Station Leader or Team Leader in Sheet Metal, or a senior Mechanic as assigned by the Supervisor.
What You Bring- Strong measurement skills: read a tape, convert fractions, and verify with micrometers, calipers, squares, and protractors.
- Blueprint and reference drawing literacy.
- Comfort accessing and entering data in fabrication databases.
- Knowledge of sheet metal quality requirements and General Customer Expectations; skilled at first-part checks.
- Safe material handling with pallet jacks and jib cranes.
- Team-first mindset and solid communication.
- Lean know-how: 5S fundamentals and the Seven Wastes—and how to apply them.
- Full adherence to task-specific safety rules.
- Press Brake (primary)
- CNC tooling
- Up to 80% of the shift spent standing/walking; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, sitting, and reaching.
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing noise, temperature swings, and occasional outdoor elements near yards and docks.
- Any of three shifts; typically 40 hours per week; some weekend overtime expected.
