We are looking for an Accounting Clerk/ Account Coordinator to join a growing team in Knoxville, Tennessee on a contract-to-permanent basis. This onsite opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing accounting support with order coordination and customer account administration in a collaborative business environment. The role will contribute to accurate financial processing, organized documentation, and timely coordination of orders and shipments for customers across the country.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain customer account records by entering new information, updating details, and ensuring setup documentation is complete and accurate.

• Review agreements, supporting paperwork, and related account documents to confirm records are current and properly organized.

• Enter customer orders and purchase orders into internal systems with close attention to accuracy, pricing, and scheduling details.

• Coordinate shipment timing and monitor order milestones to help keep deliveries on track for customers nationwide.

• Work closely with sales and other internal teams to communicate order updates, resolve discrepancies, and support smooth account activity.

• Assist with preparing quotes and help move approved pricing information through the order fulfillment process.

• Process vendor invoices, support accounts payable activities, and help maintain timely and accurate payment records.

• Contribute to accounts receivable tasks by preparing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on selected past-due business accounts.

• Use Sage 50 and MS Excel to complete daily accounting entries, maintain transaction records, and support routine financial operations.

• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk, bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or similar support position.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and general accounting procedures.
• Experience handling customer accounts, contracts, purchase orders, order entry, and related documentation.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and familiarity with Sage 50 in a day-to-day accounting environment.
• Strong data entry accuracy with the ability to manage detailed records and multiple transactions efficiently.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and collaborating across sales, operations, and accounting teams.
• Solid organizational skills, careful follow-through, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
