This role involves providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to condominium associations, homeowners’ associations, and their boards of directors. Represent condominium and homeowner associations in a variety of legal matters, including contract disputes, governing document interpretation and enforcement, construction defect claims, and general litigation. Draft, review, and amend governing documents such as declarations, bylaws, rules, and regulations, ensuring compliance with Florida law and addressing the specific needs of the associations. Advise boards of directors on day-to-day operational and legal matters, including dispute resolution, assessment collections, covenant enforcement, and risk management. Assist with mediation and negotiation processes, as well as represent associations in court proceedings as necessary. Stay current with Florida laws and regulations pertaining to community associations and provide education to clients on compliance, legal updates, and best practices. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in condominium and homeowner association law or a related field. Strong knowledge of Florida Statutes, particularly Chapters 718 and 720, and other applicable laws and regulations. Proven experience in litigation, mediation, and negotiation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Commitment to providing high-quality client service and building long-term relationships. Experience working in a law firm setting, specifically with community association clients. Certification or specialized training in community association law. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 per year Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
