Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Data Engineering & Digital Integration

Senior Specialist role leading the design and delivery of manufacturing data platforms and digital solutions across GMP operations. Transforms manufacturing and enterprise data into scalable analytics products and AI capabilities that drive operational performance and decision-making in a biopharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for manufacturing data engineering, analytics, and digital integration initiatives
• Design and direct integrations among manufacturing, laboratory, automation, and enterprise systems including MES, SCADA, LIMS, and ERP
• Develop and oversee reliable data pipelines, APIs, and integration patterns that move information across operational and IT platforms
• Lead evaluation, design, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions for manufacturing use cases
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of manufacturing data products from discovery through deployment, adoption, and sustainment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative field
• Minimum 5 years applied experience in data engineering, system integration, manufacturing systems, or AI/ML development
• Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring technical contributors or managing complex cross-functional projects
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL; working knowledge of R, PowerShell, or JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with data integration, REST APIs, relational databases, and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience in regulated environments applying SDLC, system validation, data integrity, and cybersecurity practices
• Knowledge of AVEVA PI System, SEEQ, Power BI, or comparable manufacturing analytics platforms (preferred)
