About the Role:

Dr. Jodi L. Rowson and Associates Inc. is looking for a motivated and caring Optometric Technician/Assistant to join their team in North Olmsted, OH! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside dedicated eye care professionals in a patient-focused practice where your skills truly make a difference every day.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary patient testing including visual acuity, tonometry, autorefraction, and visual fields.
• Accurately document exam findings in EHR/EMR systems
• Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion, and removal techniques
• Maintain and sterilize diagnostic equipment and exam room supplies
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage front desk duties as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience as an optometric technician, ophthalmic assistant, or in a clinical eye care setting is optimal but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Experience with EHR/EMR software is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
